I’m Grant Hilton, an independent SEO & AI consultant based in Brisbane, Australia. I started working in search in 2001 and founded Move Up SEO in 2005, making it one of the longest-running independent SEO consultancies in Australia.
My in-house career spans 8 years as SEO Specialist at Telstra, where I managed a $250K annual search budget, led agile cross-functional delivery teams, and trained developers and content writers in SEO best practice. After Telstra I joined Freelancer.com as SEO Manager, overseeing international SEO strategies across 50+ country-specific websites simultaneously.
I then worked as SEO Specialist at Choice implementing international SEO for 50+ country sites, before joining Portal Ventures and then Bruce Clay Australia as SEO Manager, delivering site migrations, technical audits, and client management across Bruce Clay’s portfolio.
Most recently I was Senior SEO & AI Specialist at Vuly Play, an international eCommerce brand selling outdoor play equipment across AU, NZ, US, CA, UK, DE, FR, and UAE. Over 8 months I drove $2.87M in organic purchase revenue from 291,625 organic active users through comprehensive technical SEO, E-E-A-T content strategy, hreflang implementation, and AI-driven content workflows.
